// La nuit tombe sur l’île de Zuania, autrefois base militaire, aujourd’hui destination touristique convoitée dans les Caraïbes. Des tortues nouvellement écloses gagnent la mer, tandis qu’un ferry bondé de visiteurs accoste. Une guide nous conduit vers l’intérieur des terres, où prolifère une autre espèce d’errants.
// Night falls on the island of Zuania, once a military base, now a coveted tourist destination in the Caribbean. Turtle hatchlings head for the sea as a ferry packed with visitors arrives. A guide leads us inland, where another species of free-roamers is proliferating.

// Alba Jaramillo est réalisatrice, monteuse et productrice. Elle a réalisé Motorrodillo (Dok Leipzig, Doc NYC ’22) et Project for a Collection (Festival Internacional de la Habana, Big Sky FF ’17). Alumna de l’IDFA Academy, d’EURODOC Caraïbes et du Sundance Producing Fellowship, elle a été chargée de programmes pour la BBC, et a collaboré à des documentaires et séries indépendants en tant que monteuse et productrice. Elle est enfin titulaire d’un Master en Réalisation de l’Université Paris 8 et d’un MFA en Media Arts de la State University of New York–Buffalo, où elle a enseigné la théorie du cinéma et les études migratoires.
// Alba Jaramillo is a director, editor and producer. She directed Motorrodillo (Dok Leipzig, Doc NYC ’22) and Project for a Collection (Festival Internacional de la Habana, Big Sky FF ’17). She is an IDFA Academy, EURODOC Caribbean alum, and a Sundance Producing Fellow. Former commissioning editor for BBC, she has also worked on independent documentaries and series as an editor and producer. She holds an MA in Creative Directing from the University of Paris 8 and an MFA in Media Arts from the State University of New York–Buffalo, where she taught film theory and immigration studies.
