// Jihan (Yaqian) Najar​ est née en 1995 à Jinan dans la province de ShanDong, une région du Nord-Est de la Chine. Cela fait huit ans qu’elle vit, travaille et poursuit ses études en France. Dans sa pratique artistique, elle traite de la question de l’autre, de la mémoire, de l’exil, la marge, la distance et la question de l’identité, notamment la caractéristique mouvante de l’identification des expatriés dans un tiers-espace. En 2022, elle participe à la résidence d’écriture – Fabrica Casell’Arte à Vénaco en Corse pour développer son premier scénario de fiction 10m². En 2023, elle bénéficie d’une bourse du CNC au Moulin d’Andé et obtient le soutien de l’Aide avant réalisation du CNC et la Bourse Beaumarchais-SACD en 2024. En parallèle, elle développe son premier long-métrage documentaire, Une femme qui hurle, dans le cadre de la formation d’écriture aux Ateliers Varan. Le projet a obtenu l’aide à l’écriture du FAIA Documentaire du CNC. 

// Jihan (Yaqian) Najar​ was born in 1995 in Jinan in the ShanDong province, a region in northeast China. She has been living, working and studying in France for the past eight years. In her artistic practice, she deals with the question of the other, memory, exile, the margin, distance and the question of identity, particularly the shifting characteristic of expatriate identification in a third space. In 2022, she took part in the Fabrica Casell’Arte writing residency in Vénaco, Corsica, to develop her first fiction script, 10m². In 2023, she received a grant from the CNC at the Moulin d’Andé, and in 2024 was awarded the CNC’s Aide avant réalisation and the Bourse Beaumarchais-SACD. At the same time, she is developing her first feature-length documentary, Une femme qui hurle, as part of the writing training program at Ateliers Varan. The project was awarded the FAIA Documentary writing grant from the CNC.
