// Un matin d’été au cœur du Périgord Noir. Lou, 5 ans, décèle une odeur étrangère dans la chevelure de sa mère : celle du tabac froid. Quand un homme les rejoint pour passer l’après-midi à la rivière, Lou l’observe et s’interroge : qui est-il, que fait-il là et pourquoi reste-t-il collé à sa mère ?
// A summer morning in the south of France. Lou, 5, detects a foreign smell in her mother’s hair: cold tobacco. When a man joins them to spend the afternoon at the river, Lou watches him and wonders: who is he, what is he doing there and why is he sticking to his mother?

// Après des études en droit & relations internationales, Tara rejoint le cinéma via le champ institutionnel. Elle passe cinq ans au sein de la direction internationale du CNC. En 2021, elle entame une reconversion pour se former à la réalisation. Elle commence à travailler sur les plateaux et rejoint l’équipe mise en scène de plusieurs longs métrages. Cette incursion sur les plateaux lui permet de rencontrer Helena Pokorny, diplômée du département production de la Fémis avec laquelle elle développe son premier court-métrage, Lou, qu’elle tourne en octobre 2023 en Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
// After studying law and international relations, Tara joined the CNC, where she worked for 5 years. She then changed careers and trained as an assistant director on several feature films. This foray into film sets enabled her to meet Helena Pokorny, her producer and graduate of La Fémis, with whom she developed her first film Lou, which was shot in October 2023, in the south of France.
