// Avec sa petite caméra qu’il garde toujours près de lui, Boaz filme son quotidien, et en particulier Malachie, son presque frère duquel il est inséparable. D’ailleurs, pour les vacances d’été de leurs vingt ans, sur l’île, ils ont le projet de réaliser un film ; une idée de Malachie qui souhaite lever le voile sur la véritable nature de son frère, qui souhaite dire enfin pourquoi il l’admire tant. Mais Amos, leur père, annule les vacances et Boaz décide de convaincre Malachie qu’ils fassent leur film, malgré tout.
// With his small camera he always keeps close at hand, Boaz films his daily life, especially Malachie, his almost brother with whom he is inseparable. At twenty years of age, for their summer vacations on the island, they have the project to direct a film ; an idea from Malachie who wishes to unveil the true nature of his brother, who wishes to tell him why he admires him so much. But Amos, their father, cancel their vacation and Boaz decides to convince Malachie to make the film in spite of that.

Festival Côté Court de Pantin | 2021
// Après deux années passées à la Faculté de théologie protestante de Genève, Romain Kronenberg étudie la théorie musicale, le Jazz et la composition électro-acoustique au Conservatoire Supérieur de musique de Genève. Entre 2001 à 2005 à l’IRCAM où il est compositeur et sound designer, il collabore avec des plasticiens tels que Ugo Rondinone, Pierre Huyghe, Melik Ohanian et Thierry Kuntzel qui l’ouvrent à la vidéo, l’installation, la sculpture et la photographie. Entre 2007 et 2010, Romain est artiste en résidence au Pavillon du Palais de Tokyo, puis à la Villa Kujoyama. En 2012, il entame un travail d’écriture cinématographique et réalise plusieurs courts métrages qu’il projette notamment au Mk2 Beaubourg, au Mk2 Grand Palais, au Festival Int. du Film d’Ankara, au Festival Int. du film de Rotterdam, aux Rencontres Int. Paris/Berlin, au Seoul Art Center, au Hong Kong Art Center, à Loop Barcelone, au Silencio, à la Gaité Lyrique, au Centre Pompidou, au Collège des Bernardins ou à la Femis. En 2018, il réalise Rien ne s’oppose au jour, qui est en compétition au festival Côté Court de Pantin et y reçoit le prix SACEM pour la meilleure musique originale.
// After two years spent at the Faculty of Theology of Geneva, Romain Kronenberg studies musical theory, Jazz and electro-acoustic composition at the Conservatoire Supérieur de musique de Genève. Between 2001 and 2005 at IRCAM where he works as a composer and sound designer, he collaborates with visual artists such as Ugo Rondinone, Pierre Huyghe, Melik Ohanian and Thierry Kuntzel who open him to video art, installation, sculpture and photography. Between 2007 and 2010, Romain is an artist in residency at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris) and Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto). In 2012 he starts making movies that he screens in places such as International Film Festival ok Ankara, International Film Festival of Rotterdam, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Seoul Art Center, Hong Kong Art Center, Loop Barcelona, Mk2 Beaubourg, Mk2 Grand Palais, Silencio, Gaité Lyrique, Centre Pompidou, Collège des Bernardins and Femis (Paris). In 2018, he directs Rien ne s’oppose au jour, selected at the Côté Court Festival where he receives the Prize for the best original music granted by the SACEM.
