// Leonardo Martinelli est un cinéaste originaire de Rio de Janeiro. Son film Fantasma Neon a remporté le Léopard d’or du Meilleur court-métrage international lors de la 74e édition du Festival de Locarno. Ses films ont été sélectionnés dans des festivals du monde entier, notamment à Cannes, Locarno, Toronto (TIFF), San Sebastián, BFI Londres, Clermont-Ferrand, Montréal, Biarritz ou Toulouse. Il développe actuellement son premier long-métrage, qui a été sélectionné à la Résidence de Locarno et a bénéficié du Fonds Hubert Bals du Festival de Rotterdam (IFFR).
// Leonardo Martinelli is a filmmaker based in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro). With the short Fantasma Neon (2021), he won the Golden Leopard for Best International Short Film at the Locarno Film Festival. His films were selected in more than 400 festivals worldwide, including Toronto, San Sebastián, BFI London, Clermont-Ferrand, Zinebi, Palm Springs, Biarritz, Montreal and others. In Brazil, he has won multiple awards, such as at the Festival de Gramado and the Festival do Rio. He is currently developping his first feature which has been selected at Locarno FF Residency and has received a support from the Prince Claus Fund during Rotterdam IFF.
